As the holiday season descends, I've got the most important person in the world on my mind: MYSELF.
Aw, just kidding. But in all seriousness, around the holidays I am frequently asked this question by people who care about me and don't want me to end up homeless: "Jessie, how can I help support your business?". So, to help you help me, if you so choose, I've put together a list of a few very easy ways that you can help me out.
How you can help me this holiday season
1. Buy my books.
If you really want me to love you forever, buy one (or heck, all) of my books. I have written two cookbooks by myself, I have co-authored another, and I have a unicorn book coming out in a week. I have also self-published three different coloring books.
All of the books (even the coloring books) are available on Amazon, and I have some to sell in my Etsy shop, as well. Does it matter where you buy my book (direct or through a retailer)? Not really. Both benefit me. If you have purchased a book from amazon but would like it signed, just let me know (via my contact page) and I can mail you a signed bookplate (sticker) that you can put inside of the book, at no charge (domestically).
Here's a list of my books (links go to Amazon, where I have an affiliate account, so if you buy, it helps me even more)
CakeSpy Presents Sweet Treats for a Sugar-Filled Life
The Secret Lives of Baked Goods
Baking With Steel
Stuff Unicorns Love
The Unicorn Coloring Book
Another Unicorn Coloring Book
The Cupcake Coloring Book
Bonus / extra credit: leave a review!
if you DO purchase my book(s), don't forget to leave a review! Obviously I prefer a good review but by weighing in it helps other people find the book and decide if it's right for them.
2. Buy something on Etsy.
I have a great Etsy shop where I offer my books and other gift-y items like the socks pictured above. I also do custom artwork commissions!
3. Visit my website.
In the age of social media, it's easy to forget to actually click over to blogs. But if you have a moment, do click over to my actual site when you think of it (and thanks for being here now). The number of page views and clicks does matter, particularly in terms of my ranking and advertising revenue, and it doesn't cost you anything to click over and take a look.
4. Share share share!
If my books seem appropriate for someone you know, share the link with them! If a recipe or post from my website seems cool, share it on social media! Shares like this really help, and they make me like you. And if you do share something, tag me! My various handles are listed below.
